You can be a part of this historic moment for our college.Last week Geneseo Provost Carol Long made this incredible announcement and we couldn't wait to spread the word!
Geneseo is launching a one-of-a-kind program in Red Hook, Brooklyn- arguably one of NYC's coolest up and coming neighborhoods- with the ability to engage prospective and current students, parents and alumni right here in New York City. With the help of the NYC Alumni Committee, the Geneseo Red Hook program is gearing up to engage even more alumni and to strengthen our network with this invaluable opportunity. There is a lot to do to get the program up and running- including a launch event this fall - so stay tuned! See below for the message and tell your friends! We'll keep you posted on how you can get involved! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dear NYC alumni and parents: We have news from upstate that I am eager to share with you. With support from alumnus Greg O'Connell '64 and the O'Connell Organization, Geneseo has a new home in the waterfront neighborhood that is Red Hook, Brooklyn. With space in Red Hook and a presence in New York City, our potential is endless: innovative programming and alumni & parent engagement that will strengthen Geneseo's connections with our wonderful community of influence. Project Coordinator Maddy Smith '14 is in the research phase of establishing this program, and she looks forward to meeting our NYC friends. You'll hear from her soon, but if you have questions or thoughts, please reach out: [email protected]. Visit Maddy's blog to track her progress and learn more about Red Hook. Sincerely, Carol S. Long Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
